After a corporate re-organization process a new department was created by merging the Application Development, CyberSecurity and Data Management teams. The new department was called Central Technology Solutions.
As part of the rebranding and name change, the VP decided to launch a logo design contest among open to all 120+ employees in the new department.

I was selected to create the final logo design because my design entry was voted 1st runner up and the leadership team wanted my concept integrated in the final logo.

A good logo is a crucial component of any branding campaign. To create a strong brand image, the logo design needs to be

  • unique
  • simple
  • memorable
  • versatile
  • timeless

Keeping the above characteristics in mind, my design process is illustrated below:

Sketches and concept exploration

Starting with simple pencil and paper is perhaps the best way to go through the visual exploration and conceptualization process.




Design Refinement

After the visual exploration, some design ideas developed and the result was then recreated digitally using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.




Logo Products

The final logo design was used by on all internal digital communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, emails and web portals. Various stationary materials with the new logo were also created by the marketing team.
